continous rope bleaching

Yeman Continous Rope Bleaching

For scouring and bleaching of fabrics that need special attention, fabrics like terry towel or delicate tension-sensitive fabrics, rope processing is the ideal solution.

Based on your specific fabrics and the desired process- and after-processing parameters, Yeman is the ideal partner to define the optimal components of your continuous rope bleaching range.

Till Yeman introduced its modern rope scouring and bleaching ranges, such lines were produced by traditional procedures, not really making substantial changes to there products.

Those machines are in general often limited to the pre-treatment processing of lightweight woven fabrics, most of such fabrics are used to produce bed sheets.

The machine construction is based on a modular system, allowing to make the ranges exactly fit the demands of our clients.

Thanks to a controlled overfeed, the processing is fully tensionless leading to the terry towel piles are standing (not flattened), the hand feel is significantly better, the fabric thickness is clearly improved, and thus the overall quality of the final product is objectively and measurably by far better.

Technical Specifications

Yeman developed rope bleaching with modern technology also suitable for heavyweight fabrics like terry towel, having a weight of up to 650 grams: It goes without saying that also light fabrics can be processed.

The Yeman rope scouring and bleaching ranges are also highly suitable for the processing of tension-sensitive and thus delicate fabrics, as well as circular knitted fabrics.

The water counterflow, flowing from the machine exit to the machine entry with 5 channels at the bottom of each chamber. Thanks to this counterflow, the cleansing of the fabrics show highly increased results in comparison to any other equipment being offered in the global market.

The rope chambers have a fabric content of 25 meters each, To increase and optimise the washing efficiency, 5 passes through the twin rubber-padder lead to the best possible processing effects.

mercerizing

Yeman Mercerizing

Mercerizing is essential for high-quality pre-treatment. The consumption of dyestuff can be reduced by 30%, while at the same time a substantially higher brilliance is achieved while also the levelness in dyeing is improved. Strength- and dimension stability are substantially increased leading to the best possible handle of the fabrics processed.

Advantages;
√ A high number of installed installations
√ Optimal mercerizing results while realising the lowest possible chemicals, water, heat and power consumption.
√ Rapid installation
√ Simple and intuitive operation
√ High construction stability
√ Extrem low maintenance needs and thus about neglectable low maintenance costs

Yeman Mercerizing
Relaxation optimizes the knit structure, mercerizing will stabilize it. There are of course also many other benefits like 40% dye savings.

Stretch forces in the weft during caustic removal make weft knit fabrics retain dimension. Therefore, a roller-chain mercerizing machine is needed. All bottom rollers are engraved and driven to evenly resist width shrinkage and to minimize tension.

The NaOH concentration is maintained with a 0.2oBé accuracy.

Savings
Water use for pre-treatment in jets is 20 litres per kilogram of fabric. For open width, this is just 7 litres per kilogram of fabric. Thanks to the unique Yeman processing and often patented applied technologies, cost savings on water and energy for open-width processing are up to 60%.

Fabric Appearance
Open width creates no pilling nor markings. The evenness of the open width being processed leads to the same weight measured in grams per m2 remains unchanged, this measured ar the beginning, the middle and the end of each batch as well as measured from batch to batch.

Shrinkage & Spirality Control
During open width processing, fabric shrinkage is controlled through overfeeding. Spirality is also strongly reduced in open width processing.

Thermosol Pad Steam Dyeing
Continuous Dyeing

Yeman Continous Dyeing Ranges

The most important dyes for continuous dyeing are reactive, disperse, vat, and sulfur. Reactive, a water-soluble, anionic dye is in continuous dyeing important for cotton only.

Vat and sulfur are made soluble by reduction and then become anionic dyes. Vat and Sulphur are in continuous dyeing also used for cotton only.

Disperse, an insoluble, non-ionic dye is in continuous dyeing only used for polyester blends as 100% polyester is almost exclusively dyed on jets and jiggers.

singeing

Yeman Continous Singeing

The Yeman singeing equipment optimally removes and burns out the hairiness from the fabric’s surface, producing a smooth surface finish on the fabrics processed.

Singeing of knitted and woven fabrics plays an important role in fabric pre-treatment, in the appearance of the fabric, while it ensures a clean and clear surface before the following steps in the processing of the fabric is commenced.

√ Obtain a clean surface
√ Allowing the structure of the fabric to be clearly seen
√ Reduced risk of pilling
√ better printing of fine designs with higher clarity and details
√ Reduced risks of irregular dyeing process particullarly in dark shades (due to diffused reflection of light)

The “double jet” scorching flame system, which is completely consistent with the original German, can be applied to the front as well as to the back of the fabric.

√ Scorching-through-firing on free-guided fabrics (sensitive and heavy fabrics).
√ Singe the fabric backed with cold water sticks—single (general fabric)
√ The flame mouth can be used for tangent angle burning to the fabric-cutting burning (light and thin fabric).
√ The entire unit of the singeing machine is in a closed/covered execution.
√ The smoke exhaust-device above the fire port can completely remove the smoke generated during the singeing process. Both the side door and the folding door offer easy access to all parts of the burner.
√ High-efficiency “double jet” flame burner system, which is water-cooled. 2 high-temperature and energy-saving aluminium alloy patented burner. Gas and air are optimally mixed and burned by the fire nozzle directing the flame onto the fabric.
√ The proportional mixing valve is used to control the mixing ratio of air and combustion gas, Flame intensity can be adjusted according to the different fabric types and the processing technologies.

Important subsystems like weft straighteners, infrared selvedge detectors, selvedge decurlers, chain clips, knitwear selvedge cutters, gas burners and temperature sensors are all from German, Italian and American origin.

High-end specialized weft straighteners can either be supplied with the machine or customer supplied and integrated by Yeman. For knitwear Yeman also has a one or two-roller weft straightener of own design available.

Infeeds and exits for wovens use selvedge guiders, for knitwear full-width web guiding is used like driven scroll expanders, slatted rollers and balancing rollers

Fans for ‘Twin Air’ flow control up and down

Scrays for non-stop operation can be applied and stenters can be positioned on a platform when required.

Dyestuff padders will have multi under the liquor rollers, a 50N/mm horizontal squeezing unit with rubberized hydraulic oil swimming rollers and cooling or heating.

Chemical padders have a single dip trough with a vertical 6 tons squeezing unit with rubberized low deflection bowls. All padders have automatic level control.

Standard options for knitted fabrics are selvedge gumming with IR drying at entry and selvedge cutting with suction at the exit.

Three-finger selvedge openers at chain entry correct either up or down curling for both wovens and knitwear.

The CS-8000 offers the following advantages:

√ Modular construction has a positive effect on the ease of operation and maintenance

√ Twin-ventilation of the chambers achieving an effective”lay-on-air” effect, Fabric hand-feel is much better

√ Patented and long-life chain/rail construction with a minimum expansion effect under heat exposure

√ A modern electronic control system ensuring cost-effective operation, a substantially reduced energy consumption as well as an upgraded fabric quality

√ Tailor-made process control to treat woven and knitted fabrics as well as coating applications

Technical Specifications CS-8000

√ Maintenance and lubrication-free chains and railways with very low heat expansion.

√ Patented railways with individual frames and special low-friction coverings (lifetime up to three years).

√ Chains are driven by two AC servo motors with a highly precise interlock to synchronize chain speeds, with compensation for heat expansion, resulting in vibration-free and stable operation. Infeed speed is from 10% underfeed to 40 or 60% selected overfeed.

√ The hot chambers have a length of 3 meters and 2 fans each with a capacity of 40,000m3/hr. The fans are mounted. alternating on the left and the right side of the machine and form a ‘twin ventilation’ system.

√ The ‘twin air’ system controls the amounts of hot air going up and down. In combination with nozzle type and nozzle positioning, a “lay-on-air” effect is realized.

√ Duct and nozzle type choice is also based on the fibre type being processed namely cellulose or synthetic. For high pile fabrics and very sensitive fabrics, processing dedicated nozzle types are available.

√ The hot chambers have 150mm glass fibre insulation with an integrated tin board for additional insulation by heat reflection. The bottom is also insulated.

√Heating is direct by gas or indirect by steam, oil or gas using an aluminium heat exchanger. Direct gas is most efficient and gives the best uniformity of circulating air.

√ Operating temperature ranges from 100 to 220°C. Steam heating will limit the maximum temperature to about 165°C and can therefore not be used for heat setting.

√ The exhaust ventilators have 4kW motors controlled by frequency inverters. Suction tubes inside of the chambers are insulated to conserve energy. A humidity control system for exhaust air is optional.

Washing after Dyeing and Printing
continous rope washing

Yeman Continous Rope Washing
OWR-2020

Washing after printing or after CPB dyeing is usually a continuous process with a choice for open width or rope form.

The choice is based on:
√ fabric construction,
√ fibre type,
√ dyestuff used and
√ the production volumes.

When combining woven fabrics and knitwear, the knitwear demands a tensionless machine. Production amounts permitting, a single machine solution will save money and space.

Hereby a concept is presented for flexible print and dye washing, combining open width and rope form in one machine. This concept is also suitable for:
√ de-oiling of viscose fabrics,
√ scouring of polyester fabrics and
√ washing of yarn-dyed fabrics.

A main target for the drum-rope concept is printed polyester knitwear. For reactive prints, an extended layout and or production speed limits will apply, while using a thickener swelling unit has to be considered.

Technical Specifications

√ Open width boxes: 2 drums, 600mm diameter, 6m fabric content
√ Driven drums and guiding rollers
√ Load cells for accurate and fast tension control
√ Drums with a fluted surface for optimal fabric penetration of spray water
